Old Republic server question. Why locked?
July 27th, 2013, 00:11
I've been playing the Old Republic for a bit, and I'm on a Europe server even though I'm in New Zealand because all the Asia Pacific servers are locked. I don't understand why that is. I would like to try plaing on an APAC server because I get pretty poor framerate especially when there are a lot of other players online.
So I was hoping someone could tell me why those servers are locked and how I get access to them. I googled some of the server names and I found a website for one but it won't allow me to contact them, and I can't post on the official forums because I'm a free to play player.
Edit. Never mind, I read Bioware is closing down the APAC servers and merging them so it's logical that's the reason they're locked.

Yes, I was just about to write that. Sorry for you.
You could try out PINGs to find out which servers are faster for you.
I think there was a tiny guide on how to do it posted by a Yellow One in the SWTOR forums, too.
