Planescape:Torment map problem
March 3rd, 2014, 13:39
Im in the lower ward, and i wanna go the upper ward to do some quest, but everytime i go to the entrance of the upper ward, the world map pops up. Now, i can only go to areas ive been at least once, but i cant go to the upper ward because the map keeps popping! This is a paradox. How i can go between areas without using the map everytime?

Did the street give birth?
Although the question seems odd, I'm not on drugs.

Im currently after talking with Quell about Ravel puzzlewell. I am continuing a save from a long time (started game and then stopped) so i cant remember. (SPOILER)I know i was in a weird street with a face right before morte was kidnapped.
Is there a way to force TNO to manually switch between areas with the map popping every time? Because if not then i dont know how its possible to enter new areas.
P.S: didnt finish the game so no spoilers pls

You can't go between areas without going via the map. You exit a zone and then select a new zone. It's the same as every other infinity engine game (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc).
New areas become available when the main quest takes you there. In other words, you can't go to the upper ward before the main quest opens it up.
I hope that answers the question. If not, please elaborate.

Even though the journal directed me to the upper wards, it seems like i needed to be at the clerks ward after all. Thank you for a fast reply!
EDIT: just a final question. Can i, in any way, do something that offends a party member so much that he will leave me? For ex i thought that telling sharegrave about pharods corpses will offend annah and she will leave me. Can this thing happen?

I actually don't remember. It wouldn't surprise me. There are a lot of choices and consequences in the game. Just remember to keep a lot of saves and try it out.

Pretty sure it is possible to offend Ignus enough to get into trouble. Think I've read the same about the armor guy.

I'd just like to interject here and point out that I'm not going to say anything to spoil the mood, Chief. I'll just float here and watch. Don't mind me, just sitting here, floating and watching, that's me.
