They had a Reddit AMA this week. Here is the link for anyone that missed it.
I started an Ask Me Anything over on reddit. It's gotten pretty popular, as I advertised answering questions about some big game franchises, but we can discuss Epoch: Return if any of you would like to discuss the game in reddit's format. I feel reddit is better suited for discussion than our chat system here, which is basically just messages being sent back-and-forth.

Some KS, a lot of them, always hint as crowdfunding as a way to fund activity for the sake of funding activity.
That's maybe why crowdfunding is so praised and appreciated by some people.
It allows control over the circulation of wealth, make sure that it stays within the family.
Most of the promotional video is about the work conditions, the excitment of working on the project, the enjoyment of working on the project etc…
What the game is supposed to add in terms of gameplay to the already loaded landscape of video gaming is kept a secret.

Yeah I just noticed this today.
I didn't back the game, but with a few changes next time I might.

Ending the Campaign
When you're in a relationship and you start to notice all the little things that are wrong with your partner, it means you've lost the love, if you ever had it. There are a lot of little things we'd like to change about our campaign, but at the heart of it all, we failed to make people fall in love with our idea the same way we love it.
For that reason, we are going to end this Kickstarter campaign immediately. We are unhappy with the way we represented the game, and are going back to the drawing board. It was a hard decision to make, but we are confident it is the right one.
I want to personally thank all of you that supported us. It means the world to the team and I. Other than ourselves, of course, you are who we make games for. And I want to thank the team. They really put their backs into getting the game to where we did and I'm forever indebted to them.
Sorry to bear bad news, but it has been a great learning experience and it was very gratifying to see the enthusiasm for that was shown for Epoch: Return.
