Take up the blessed arms and impenetrable shield of the mighty Crusader and explore the world of Sanctuary like never before
PARIS, France-March 25, 2014- The time has come for the greatest heroes of the mortal realm to answer the call to arms and join the crusade against death itself. Diablo® III: Reaper of SoulsTM is now live and ready to challenge Windows® and Mac® gamers around the world.
In Reaper of Souls, the five valiant heroes from Diablo III-Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor, and Wizard-are joined by a new champion: the Crusader. Clad head to toe in fortified armor, the Crusader is an unstoppable force of righteous destruction who channels the power of divine wrath to visit retribution upon his demonic quarry.
Reaper of Souls adds a challenging new act to Diablo III in which players will embark on a dark and perilous journey through terrifying landscapes; explore the legendary city of Westmarch; and slay countless minions, each hell-bent on bringing their heroic quest to a grisly end. The adventure culminates in a climactic confrontation with Malthael, the Angel of Death, whose twisted designs spell ruin for the innocent people of Sanctuary.
"Together with the new loot experience we added to the game, Reaper of Souls improves on Diablo III in countless ways," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Players returning to Sanctuary will find a darker, more engaging, and much more rewarding experience awaiting them."
A recent free update to Diablo III on Windows and Mac introduced a host of new game features, including a major revamp of the game's loot system, an expanded Paragon progression system for max-level characters, and expanded social tools in the form of Clans and Communities. With the purchase of Reaper of Souls, players will gain access to game-changing new features and highly replayable content, including:
As an added bonus, anyone who buys Reaper of Souls will receive one or more Expert Card Packs (depending on which version of the expansion is purchased) for Blizzard Entertainment's recently launched digital strategy card game, HearthstoneTM: Heroes of WarcraftTM. Went real smooth. I did have to log out and log in once when creating a new character. Pretty seamless really.

I'm hooked and buying it. But Amazon failed me and didn't deliver on the physical collector's edition. Guess I'm getting the digital, since it's unclear if anything comes with the physical standard edition.

Went smooth for me also. I'm loving the crusader. I'm taking my time, and can't wait to get to Act 5, and then do nephalem rifts in adventure mode.

I spent quite a few hours yesterday getting my Crusader through the first four acts, and I'm undecided about the class.
He's kinda underwhelming and not quite my style.
But his abilities look great and he's probably the most aesthetically pleasing class in terms of weapons and armor.
I stopped playing just as I reached act 5 - because I was too tired, but I loved the tone and setting from what little I saw.
Everything has been 100% stable, so far, which I didn't expect.
I also paid attention to the story this time, and I'm not sure what the big deal is? Ok, it's not very good and it's certainly not memorable - but it's hardly ultra horrific? Well, to each his own - I suppose. It served its purpose for me, and I do like me some Blizzard cutscenes.

I'm playing a monk and it's nice how the much of loot drops are tailored to my class (dexterity and vitality buffs) but except for the occaisional legendary or rare with an interesting property or proc or appearance, it's still pretty generic. Still fun though. The butcher's axe lengendary occaisionally growls.

I have not had one positive thing to say about D3 since launch (was greatly anticipating it, prior to playing); however, I will say that I think they made vast improvements with the Loot 2.0 patch. Not paying full price for ROS though- it will be $20 soon enough (relatively speaking).
