No the advert campaign really focused on killing things most violently, but whatever.

I've followed the non-lethal way. That was one of the good things in this game: when you went non-lethal the following missions had less opponents in it.

Oh I know it can be done, which is why I eventually bought it. But it was hyped as super violent initially, which was a big turn off for me.

Dishonored never appeared to be any more violent than other modern action games. The majority of the pre-release hype was centered on how you could explore the environment in different ways using your powers and how there were multiple ways to approach your objective.

Graphic stabbing through the mouth somehow seems more violent and gruesome than other games to me (say Skyrim, or even Diablo 3 with its exploding corpses), but to each his own.

I would love to see this. The plot could be really interesting. After all, Emily Kaldawin had her mother (the Empress) killed in front of her. After that, she is saved by Corvo (who could have cut through all who challenged him, or saved her and the kingdom with as little bloodshed as possible).

Its not surprising that Corvo would continue acting as a surrogate father figure for her. She would have found out how he succeeded and either asked him to train her (or he decided to do so, so she could defend herself if the need arose).

Its not a far step from that to her empire being threatened (possibly even deposed?) and using the skills Corvo taught her. Powers granted to her by the "Stranger" wouldn't be surprising either.

Noo! That would be soo sad…*sniff* Forcing a female protagonist on you. There are hardly any male protagonists, ever.

I'm crying hard for you. Inside. Sort of.

Not really.

The best part of human nature is how they enjoy watching other people suffer the same issues as themselves.

It makes me feel so warm inside

If you ask me, both genders should be there in an ideal world. But, since it's not an ideal world - I think it makes sense to cater to the vast majority.

Even so, it's ok if they want to go with a female protagonist. I'll just enjoy it less.
