I couldn't recommend my laptop more to anyone who wants a great gaming machine. Mine is still going strong after almost 2 years and still plays anything I throw at it on max settings. Been a joy to use so far, but it was a bit pricey so I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget.

If price isn't an issue, buy a top of the line Alienware. You will love it.
Mine was M17x R2 so it was two revisions older.

Finally ordered my "budget" laptops. Went with Dell in the end as I wanted the laptop to look "professional" and slim as well since I will be taking it to client sites etc.

Inspiron 7000 Series 7537 BTX Base
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4510U processor (4M Cache, up to 3.1 GHz)
NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GT 750M 2GB DDR5
16GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (8GBx2)
15.6 inch LED Backlit Touch Display with Truelife and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080)
1TB 5400 rpm SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 8GB Cache
Windows 8.1 (64Bit) English

The price on the website was £750 but after haggling and coupon codes, got it down to £650.

Thanks all for your help.
