Might & Magic Heroes VII - Announcement

HoMM III is a masterpiece and would be in my top 5 games of all time. Will still play it from time to time. Great to also play in hotseat with your buddies.

It appears there will only be four factions this time? Seriously? With each new title in the HoMM series, we get fewer and fewer options, more and more gameplay elements are dropped, the setting and art becomes more and more generic, and we get more and more bugs.
HoMM VI was a damn disgrace that had tons of game breaking bugs they did not weed out because Ubi pushed the game out way too early. Black Hole and Ubi separated a little after release, so there was noone to correct bugs. Customers went nuts, and with a good reason. Then came Limbic, but did they clean up? No! Ubi made them make DLCs and a terribly Expansion that broke the original game beyond repair, and took them several months to make it barely playable.
The Heroes were one of my favorite series of all time, but after the magnificent HoMM3 and its expansions, it just went downhill pretty bad imo. I don't want to outright condemn this game so early, but nothing that I've seen so far from this dev team and this publisher gives me any hope.

HoMM3 was definitely the high point of the series … none of the other instalments have come anywhere near close for me.
I'll be keeping an eye on this though as I was pleasantly surprised by MMX ,so we'll see what they can pull out of the bag this time.

I vote for elves!
