The Banner Saga - Now Available on iOS

Thanks to Touch Arcade I have news to share that The Banner Saga is now available on iOS for $9.99, or some other price depending on where you live.

As if the huge list of new releases from earlier wasn't enough, Stoic's tactical RPG The Banner Saga [$9.99] has also just arrived in the App Store. The Banner Saga launched on PC in January of this year to critical acclaim, and in June it was confirmed that the game would be heading to "tablets" sometime this summer. That meant that it was at the very least heading to iPad, but as it turns out The Banner Saga is a Universal app for iPhones, too.

Thinking about picking it up, can anybody recommend it?

Yes, it's a good game and certainly better than most of the dreck on mobile, even if I found the combat to get a bit tedious toward the end. Got tired of fighting the same ol' bucketheads in the same ol' way. It ended at just about the right time for me, if just a little bit late. A good game, though. I would recommend it.

Definitely interested in this one as well. Since I don't have any time to play right now I'm not in a rush to yet again pay full price

Is it just me or we have a first case of a game where phoneport on PC was released before the game went on it's originally planned platform?

I liked the story and mechanics of this game. I kind of wish they could develop part 2 and 3 faster….

I enjoyed it. Its not very long (10-12hrs) which was fine with me.

Agreed, if for nothing else than I was kind of lost concerning the story and the lore. A lot of info that simply didn't seem to have any relevance outside of background. I kind of kept asking myself 'umm, ok, why is this here?' Hopefully the next parts really tie it all together, but the world certainly seemed very interesting.

I loved it myself, no idea how it will be on a tiny plaything, but it was quite nice on my pc. Several friends that I gifted it to also enjoyed it.

Well, I ended up grabbing it … so I guess I will suspend my Baldur's Gate 2 playthrough (again!) to work on this one …
