Wasteland 2 - New Patch & Lets Play

You mean that when you play two of those games (the last one indeed is only MU) in SP modes, there is no uncertainty? How's that?
Hundreds of games out there that dont rely on randomness as their primary means to introduce incertainty.
Make your pick.

Alright Chien, it's pretty obvious we're not getting anywhere since we seem to want totally different gameplay and mechanics for a satisfying game , so we might as well drop the discussion and agree to disagree. As usual.![]()

So in the end it's not at all what works and what doesn't. You have a habit of looking at your opinion as facts, when in fact it's just a opinion among others. Sometimes your opinion does make sense, and it this case I completely understand your point of view, but I do not agree with it. Obviously several others agree with me, but that's beside the point. I could try to explain why in fact I think the system in WL2 works just fine, and you would continue to debate that it doesn't, because it's not a system you enjoy. Fine.

Basing a decision making process on a unreliable predictive system does not work.
Some people might ignore that and be pleased that way but it does not change: it does not work.
Disagreeing or agreeing does not change that.
As to opinions, some are factually based, others are not.
Factually based opinions are not opinions among others, just like opinions that are not factually based are not opinions among others.
But I can understand that people who enjoy taking decisions based on a system that does not discriminate between various solutions might indeed consider that non factually based opinions are just opinions among others.

So here I go again:
"Basing a decision making process on a unreliable predictive system does not work."
No it doesn't. But a RNG is not unreliable, it's reliable in the same way rolling dice is. You KNOW you will get a number between 1 and 6. Because that's exactly what it's meant to reproduce originally. And I like rolling dice. You don't. Fine. But to say it doesn't work? I guess you've never played any tabletop games with dice, or that you prefer not to, because the element of chance isn't something you like. I do.

Exchange is only possible when both sides have things to exchange.
So far, I am the only one delivering. I think I can wait a long time before getting anything in return.
It might be the fourth time I am forced to repeat it: it is not about the RNG.
How does it is known that I do not like to roll dices? Anything to support that claim?
For example, one AR is depicted as nearly as new.
Besides, the stripping part does not support it either.

Yeah but aren't these beat-up post apocalyptic guns worn down from prolonged use and harsh environments?

I heard that collecting models of trains is good for the state of mind. Putting them together and painting them all should let you still your demons.

Does it work the same as collecting miniatures and painting them? Because I am already doing that and it does not seem to work quite well to "still my demons".
