How about dwarves in full armor doing back flips and side flips like a Romanian gymnastics chick? Or the all new AWESOME effects that make the Y2K celebration fireworks look like a stalled firecracker in comparison? Come on, man! If that doesn't convince you I don't know what does.

I looks really good and it'll be hard not to buy it immediately (or pre order).
But, like JDR13, I have so many games to play right now, more coming out all the time, and a huge wishlist, as it is.
You know there will be DLC. You know the game will come down in price with all DLC included in a year or less.
When you've already had to wait ages, when you are overloaded with games, and when you know you can get the "full" game for less not that far off in the future, it's a tougher call to throw down at release.
My usual flow on a game like this is buy it at release and NOT buy any DLC since I hate getting nickle and dimed. If I buy this type of game on sale later with all DLC I get so much more - on the off chance that I actually play the whole game, which these days, with so many games, it's rare that I "finish" some games even if I play them more than enough to justify buying them.
This game looks really good though and I'm sure there's tons they aren't showing us both with gameplay and even moreso with content. It'll be real tough to sit and not enjoy the spectacle immediately.

Personally I don't think it does look that good after just going and looking at the witcher 3 again if you are going on graphic looks. The combat just looks odd to me.
I agree with JDR13 there is a ton of games to play before I pick this one up. So I will wait and see what everyone thinks of it and make up my mine down the road.
I think a replay of D OS is first on my list then Lords of Xulima. Once I have played those two if the reviews are slightly to a lot better than DA2 I will pick it up.

The interface and tactical view looks roughly like I expected. I still can't understand why it took them so long to show it, and why they keep using controllers in PC videos. Yes, I know that some people prefer controllers for certain types of games even on a PC, but DA: I is the kind of game that has dozens upon dozens of abilities, items and so on. Flipping through all that crap with a controller instead of just selecting it with a mouse is quite a tedious task.

If anyone needs examples look at DA 2 and the last two Mass Effect games. The last game with everything included was Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition in 2010.
Those days are over.

I suspect you're right. It's quite mad that buying everything for Mass Effect 2 is still very expensive, even though the game is close to five years old. The game itself is cheap, but the DLCs still have a fixed price.

I wouldn't rely on the reviews, you know. I still remember PC Gamer's review of Dragon Age II, their 94% rating, and especially the part they assumed that it would become 'the best RPG of the decade'. For fans of archaic RPGs, archaic methods like 'word of mouth' work perfectly.

The UI looks functional but it feels out of place for a fantasy game. The color and the aesthetics are more suited to sci fi game.

Wait, but in DAO your party regenerated all health anyways…
