The site has been freezing my browser (Firefox ESR OS X) all day, and sometimes crashing. This is relatively new.

It might be an issue with FF; I gave up using it several years ago when I had similar issues.

I just changed the embedding code we used before in newsbits with the current one from Youtube (iframes). See if that fixes the problem. Could also be Flash related…

Changed again -- youtube videos on the front page and on forum pages are now "lazy loaded" and show only an image upon initial page load. Only when you click on one will it be completely loaded and auto-played.

If it doesn't work, it's the cat who did it. (Eyes at Arhu).
Fixed. It shows all games from our DB now instead of only five.

I'd just like to interject here and point out that I'm not going to say anything to spoil the mood, Chief. I'll just float here and watch. Don't mind me, just sitting here, floating and watching, that's me.

Myrthos, Arhu,
It seems you fixed one of my pet peeves. Not sure if it was done on purpose but thank you.
"New Posts" button now keeps all unread posts, not just the ones from the last 24 hours
EDIT:
New feature request :
Is it possible to have a little box to check threads and then mark checked threads as read ?
Especially in the "New Posts" button.

I do not quite understand the need for a separate list for indie projects and standard releases.
but is not the problem, I found the repetition between the two databases.
checked only category canceled. if it should not be, can not help with the rest.
And now the second question, the database is almost not represented console games. There are reasons?
if not, i can provide a personal list of probably all exclusive RPG published on the PS3 and XBox360. of course 99% it's a jrpg.

We do not update any other site except RPGWatch now. We had three sites at one time but our focus only remains on this one now. As for console games we don't cover them.
We did have one volunteer editor that did at one time.

got it. just some console games in the database are presented, it is difficult to understand the position of the site in this regard.

after a cursory study of the base (do list for myself), noticed the missing games.
where i can wrote about them, or not worth doing?
Don't found similar themes. Apologize in advance, but I'm very meticulous)

IndieWatch is a filter of RPGWatch. It shows all news and articles about games and organizations that are tagged as being an indie in our database.
The news/article is posted on RPGWatch and if it is an indie game, displayed both on RPGWatch and IndieWatch.
The database which is displayed shows the same. on IndieWatch only indie games are listed. On RPGWatch all games are listed, even the MMO games we have have in our database.
So it is not intended to be maintained

I asked whether you need help with updating the game base, or it going on by itself?

RPGWatch and its forums have now moved to https and is enforcing that, so even if you go here via http, it will present you with the secure version.
If images are linked that are not from an https location, the lock left of the address will display a warning sign. We will take care of that in posting news, but older news has not been updated always and might still have images linking to http instead of https.
For images on the forums the same applies.
indie.rpgwatch.com is in the process of receiving a certificate as well, but ony has a self signed one at the moment.

I know of three situation where that might happen:
- Forums: Using the advanced edit box
- Forums: Viewing a thread
- Home Page: Watching older news with embedded external images.
Was your exception for one of these 3? Or was is for something else?
We are looking into fixing the first 2, the 3rd one will probably not be fixed any time soon.
