Unless something was cardinally changed, count me not interested into this project, whatever it might be.

And now there is no word about any of that, even Activision mentioning is cut out, all you can see now on n-space site is something that looks like Baldur's Gate rip-off.
Just looks.
Sword Coast Legends is a multiplayer party-based Dungeons & Dragons game (that you can play solo like any other MMO out there).
I expect all true d&d fans here will preorder Limited Edition Collector's Campaign. Only:
Spoiler
Such low price feels like a steal.
Anyway, some MMO developer finally got brave enough to advertise you can solo (with a party of a sort) through their MMO - and is selling that thing as a separate option.
Brave or… rude?
Dunno. The audience will determine. Me? I'm not buying.

This game seems to be NWN3 in DAO engine. They focused more on MP part as it was very popular part of D:OS.

35$ if you preorder. 40$ on release. Not a bad price. But I need to know how much old school stuff is in the game.

Yep, that's what I was going to say. Pretty much NWN 3.
This could be really great. Fingers crossed.

I am afraid they will simplify it too much. Only a few quickslots available, I hope that is not a artificial limit to how many abilities characters have. Wizards, clerics and druids for sure have more abilities and spells in 5e than those few slots.
They said 6 classes only. My guess out of wizard, sorcerer and warlock only one class will be available.
My guess: Fighter, Cleric, Rogue, Barbarian, Warlock and Ranger.
Probably more classes to come in DLCs they mentioned.

Hm, could be something possibly. I'll wait for impressions though, no way I'm pre-ordering.

Not as bad as I feared (MP only), but not as good as I hoped (SP only).
I like the prospect of playing D&D in the Forgotten Realms again as I already know a thing or two about the rules and the setting.
Big pro: PC only, no consoles or mobiles.
My class guesses: Fighter, Cleric, Rogue, Ranger, Mage, Bard or Sorcerer
I like to play charisma-based casters, so I really hope they'll include Bard or Sorcerer.
Next important question for me is if you can select from fleshed out companions (like BG) or if you get shallow henchmen.

“With Sword Coast Legends we are also continuing the legacy of the Baldur’s Gate series so you will see strong influences from not only those games, but from Dragon Age: Origins as well. You will definitely feel the influence in the tactical party-based combat, pause and play and character progression, but it’s the rich story and memorable characters where the influence is strongest.“Hopefully the memorable characters also includes party companions. I would not mind BG1 level companions as well.
