I currently likr the "for Jaz" version from Reply No. 5 most, although I'd like to see that one with a stone castle instead as well.
The idea to use a half white half black tower is funny, too.

When you add some background to our original tower, it comes off looking more like a So. Cal. lifeguard tower.(AKA:BAYWATCH) Thus I go with the new castle keep tower with the sea or the new castle keep tower with the sea in monochrome.
that sea logo reminds me of the Stargate SG1 episode "The Torment of Tantalus" where the castle is about to fall in the sea.

Why are you guys doing this?
If it was a total revamp of the site, with new layout and stuffies I would understand, but why change a log that everyone recognizes?

Because logos and icons really do sometimes change over time. There is nothing wrong with an update. It might bring in new members, it certainly shouldn't lose any.

At least I found out the original font of our banner:
It is Optima Linotype.
So here is the Steam Group logo with the original font:

It never ceases to amaze me how many people hate change.
Anyway keep up the good work Hidden X, as a lot of what you submitted looks good. It will be up to Myrthos what options he decides to pick in the end.
As for me I prefer this one as it fits both the Light & Dark pages.

I'm all up for a change - I just think it should be a bigger one. A whole new modern refresh would almost certainly help the site. I think that losing the recognisable logo for the sake of a small cosmetic change probably wouldn't.

Well PM Arhu then as he always planned a site redesign, but never finished it.
If I could I would modernize the site since the one now is almost ten years old.

I really like that "ruins" design, hiddenx.
As for the logo thing, I normally hate seeing these types of things change - when they seem timeless and of excellent quality to begin with. However, the current logo is just extremely dull to me - and what does some boring "forest fire lookout tower" have to do with RPGs, exactly? It should at least be a castle, or I don't know - something inspiring!

@HiddenX: Oh I got that, but that type of tower doesn't remind me in the slightest of "RPGs." Your castles and ruins evoke an image or feeling of RPGs in the viewer's head when they see the logo, in my opinion.
