The ranged weapon switch trick to remove the reload time feels like an exploit I won't be abusing…

Oh, well then, it wouldn't be good for generating focus then, would it? Doesn't sound like a good strategy, then, for anything but short simple trash mob fights.

Well, actually, with 4x Blunderbuss and a Draining Whip it can generate huge amounts of focus rapidly. That's the main use for the island obamas, pretty much.

Yeah I encountered the range exploit with my rogue on the day this released. I think I oneshotted something for like 80 damage…..after which I just sold my ranged weapons. No need for them on an assassin anyways, she's already lethal!

And then what? Out of focus for a while. Just not seeing it. I generate more than enough focus fast enough without having to resort to blunderbusses. This is at level 4, mind you…

Never run out of Focus yet Thrasher. And I don't have to get close and personal to get it. AND my Cypher is a top DPSer of the whole team so it's not just Focus that counts.

After two shots, you have to wait a while to shoot again. Not seeing it.

You don't get more focus while you do the reload animation.
So once you run out of focus you have to wait a long time to reload.

Remember that you can pick all locks and disarm all traps without negative consequences - and they give XP. So do it even if you don't intend to steal anything.

Just found out that item bonuses don't stack, as it says "suppressed" on the character sheets sometimes. So if you've got a Ring with +1 CON and an enchantment on your Weapon with +1 CON, one is wasted. Consequently, make sure you enchant a bonus you don't already have elsewhere on the character's current equipment. This is true for all kinds of things, like +Healing Bonus, "Steady" property (prone & push resistance) and so on.

Stuff is capped. Enchanting items beyond armours and weapons is also limited. Suggests an issue with the stat system as a whole.

Isn't that one from the loading screens? On the other hand, I kinda prefer this to the Infinity style constant messages that I couldn't equip some ring/amulet/cloak/etc because I already have an enchanted suit of armor …
I kind wish there was no extra XP from traps and locks. Also, entering a new area. Or completing the Beastiary. On the one hand, it sure gives a sence of accomplishment and every little bit of XP helps (technically). On the other - even if one skips some of the side quests, the lvl cap is hit around the time of Chapter 3 (Twin Elms), if I go by my own playstyle, and I didn't even do any of the Endless Path. Twin Elms and the Endless path are like half of the game. So this was a pretty stupid decision on Obsidian's part in the whole scheme of things, and they have to rethink the whole XP process for a future patch.
