Wave of Darkness - Campaign Update
April 3rd, 2015, 13:28
After the announcement from yesterday that Aurofinity & Dreamatrix's Hack & Slash game Wave of Darkness was funded the game managed to make two stretch goals.
The developer also released a thank you to all backers today.
The developer also released a thank you to all backers today.
Well, talk about thrilling rides, because this one sure was! Wave of Darkness, the second title in our action RPG trilogy has been successfully funded, and all of that because of - you.You can still support the game on PayPal if you missed the campaign.
You incredible people left us speechless by your support, by your enthusiasm for our project and your generous help to advertise Wave of Darkness even without us mentioning anything before.
We also cannot forget the members of the gaming media and gaming blogs who decided to support us by publishing news and articles about our Kickstarter project.
A lot of factors were against us during the campaign. It was impossible to reach the "major" gaming websites; there was a period of time during the campaign when we didn't have any pledge at all, and we had serious concerns regarding the success of this journey.
But we did it. And we even surpassed three Stretch Goals. And we managed to collect over $2,000 via PayPal. All thanks to you.
With successfully completed the funding goal and the three Stretch Goals, Wave of Darkness Kickstarter campaign was an amazing experience thanks to all of you! But, it's not over yet!More information.
All who missed the opportunity to back the Wave of Darkness and receive amazing rewards, while the campaign was live, there is still opportunity to send pledges through PayPal.

Thanks for the article Couch :-)
As a token of our gratitude for allowing us to freely communicate and promote our title on this forum, as well as helping us with pledges and constructive criticism, we mentioned RPGWatch in the update regarding the successful funding:
Great new friendships and amazing people
We made great friendships during the campaign with some really amazing people who chose to support us unconditionally, simply because they like us. We made great friendships with genre-specific communities at RPGWatch, RPG Codex and SpaceSimCentral. Simply amazing.
The campaign is over, but our work is nowhere near the end. We have to finish the game, polish it, optimize it etc.
We also learned a lot from our past mistakes and we won't let it happen again. We will update you and all future players about everything, and we will communicate with everyone.
Link to the full update.
Thanks again for sticking with us.

I'm glad to see our little site was able to help get your game funded Iggy, and thank you for mentioning the site in your latest update. I look forward to playing the game.
Another point of interest was your announcement from last week were you announced you got the Spaceforce IP back. Do yo have any plans for a future game?
I noticed you guys only sold 200,000 copies, but I thought Space Force: Rogue Universe was decent and showed promise. Still it seemed to fall apart at the ending a little bit.

Thanks for answer, Iggy, and congratulate on your KS success.
I also wonder what will happed with Spaceforce. So do you consider going to Kickstarter again in the future to get funding for new Spaceforce? It may be harder to get this time. But on the other hand if Wave of Darkness will be successfull and you will be little more famous…
Maybe you could make the game more like RPG. And let you hire different crew members with some personality and traits.

Hey, would also like to ask about Legends of Dawn: will there be any other updates, or the latest patch is also the final one?!
P.S.: congrats on the Kickstarter campaign.

Thanks for the prompt answer. Kind of unexpected, but refreshing to see that you still care for that game. I have yet to try the 64bit version, to check how much the performance was improved.
Patiently waiting for the Wave of Darkness to come out, though it will take probably around a year, at best. I hope that you've got a better publisher this time, one that will not post the product on Steam before being ready for launch.
And i really hope that you retained the IP rights.
