Pillars of Eternity - Patch 1.04 Released
April 17th, 2015, 23:16
I'm not waiting because of patches.
Currently my sis with her two kids is here. I cannot afford to play games that need me much concentrated with them around so I'm on Ubisoft's milkem'with easy2win, repetitive and consoley shallow lemonade run called AC.
Since they'll be here a couple of weeks more… Ah well, there are enough of AC games out there, not more than Mass Effect DLC though, but if Ubi continues, they can still outdo EA!

I still need to find the motivation to finish the game after the combat challenge plummeted to the underground near Twin Elms. When tactical combat doesn't require tactics any more, or casting well-aimed spells or careful positioning or anything, then the game is just boring, at least for me. I hope the patches address this issue at some point.

I think my main mistake was doing all the bounty quests as they popped up. They give way too much XP. Oh well. I do love the game, but I really need the incentive of challenge to keep myself going.

Huh. The 1.03-to-1.04 patch is up on GOG, but when I try to apply it to my 1.03 patched installation it fails claiming I have the wrong version. Go figure.

I'm almost guessing there were fewer bugs on the release version than 1.03 by the comments here. I didn't run into any bugs.
I am concerned the patch nerfs some stuff. Is there a list?
