I've been playing New Vegas again for the past month or so and I've been enjoying it more than I thought I would after a good while away due to modder's burnout. Part of my rediscovered enjoyment stems from my use of an ENB; they had previously been off-limits due to incompatibility with nightvision and other imagespace mods - no longer!

Wow, nice. It's very cool that these slightly older titles can still be made to look pretty awesome. Thanks for posting the link.

Some gorgeous shots here. I really like the 6th one down that looks like a rainy night. Makes me want to play the game.

Nice screens, but you don't use anti-aliasing? *Edit* Nevermind. I spoke before seeing the full-size screens.

Oddly enough, I never got around to doing full playthrough of NV. It's one of those games I really need to play when I have the time to attack my backlog.

Aye, ENB handles the AA

Plenty of fun games these days, but I always gravitate back to FNV. And the modding community is still fairly active and producing some real gems (as opposed to the virtually abandoned FO3). I could recommend waiting until this Winter to play it for The Frontier, but if you haven't even played the DLC yet, there's little sense in waiting! Well, aside from usual backlog restrictions…

DLC? Hell, I haven't even played the main game for more than a few hours.

I won't go overboard with mods when I do. I'll use something to update the visuals as long as it's true to the original designs, and I'll install a mod to slow XP gain as I always find myself maxing out long before finishing games like this.

Other than that, I'll probably just tweak the UI a little.

Same.

Have played and modded FO3 a lot. Conversely I think I've got about 2 hours on FONV. I'm a big fan of Morroblivion and am therefore kind of hanging out until Tale of Two Wastelands gets closer to 100% completion before diving into NV…. At least what I tell myself

Why? TTW does absolutely nothing for FNV beyond limiting the number of mods you can use. Only reason I would ever bother with ttw is if I specifically wanted to replay FO3 under the FNV engine. Furthermore, the best part of either game is the first twenty levels, give or take, so I've never seen the appeal of playing through both storylines on one character… you may as well just start New Vegas/Fo3 with god mode enabled.

You could always just use a mod to slow down the rate of leveling up.

Never heard of Tale of Two Wastelands until now. It seems pretty ambitious, but I'm a little surprised they're being allowed to do it from a legal perspective.. seeing as how it's two games from different developers.

Talk about a lot of gameplay though…

Yep that's pretty much the reason.

I'd just like to interject here and point out that I'm not going to say anything to spoil the mood, Chief. I'll just float here and watch. Don't mind me, just sitting here, floating and watching, that's me.

The STEP guide is supposedly ok, though I've never bothered. I use my Convergence Fook/Project Nevada patches and work out from there. And Vurt's Flora pack of course

Another ten shots, next stop: Honest Hearts, the most cliché DLC ever devised.

I never got into Fallout 3. Just think it doesn't fit with Fallout 1 and 2 and somehow I can go into it. Will try again soon !

Had the same exact problem with Fallout 3, despite several tries. New Vegas was awesome though.

How do these changes affect FPS of the game? Do they drop the FPS compared to vanilla FNV a lot?

What is the best way to mod this FNB if I already go FNV modded with couple of different mods (some visual and some additional weapons and such)?

ENB presets vary widely. Some people think it prudent to max out all the bells and whistles so that it will only run at a nominal framerate with a Titan. Still others will screw with the color palette and Depth of Field so harshly as to be disgusting.

The ENB I linked above only hits my FPS for maybe a maximum of 5 while giving me a look I love. Onix is also another nice one, though I forget the performance impact on that one.

An ENB isn't like a typical mod; it affects your GPU's render and so it can go on top of any mod collection you like.

Can you tell me your CPU/GPU and how much FPS you get in FNV while using this ENB.

I could maybe stand to play FNV if it looked as nice as on these picture. Mods I installed didn't really make the game look that nice.

Overclocked Nvidia 670gtx + 4770k@3.6ghz, 45-60fps. Occasionally less due not to the ENB or GPU, but rather the craptacular Gamebryo engine maxing out one of my chip's cores.
