My dread of Witcher 3

I don't like the Witcher games, so not interested in TW3 at all. I look with complete dread and desolation at what will become of these forums for the following month or two.
I'm trying to prepare myself for the onslaught of threads about the game. From previews to reviews to let's plays to patch notices to complaints to funny screenshots. I already booked my psychologist for an hour a day for the whole month, as nightmares will plague my dreams.
I even tried the 'If you can't beat them, join them' approach, tried again to play TW1 (to play TW2 I have in my library but never played), but nope, not my game!
So I decided to do something interesting, I created a fake screenshot of what things will be, so I can get used to it. I'll put it in my bathroom mirror so I look at it frequently, maybe that way my brain will accept my impending doom.
Here it is, maybe it'll help others in my same situation:

You're not alone. I won't be playing it on release or for quite a while after either. I actually liked TW; haven't played TW2 yet. I probably will play TW3 at some point and enjoy it, it'll just be after some time and a few price drops.

Come May 28th I will be playing Serpent in the Staglands, so if anyone interested in discussing that, I'm game!

TW3 is not the first game that'll have it's many threads for a couple of weeks when released, nor will be the last (think next year new DX, FO4, ME4). It'll be new and everyone will have their opinion.

Btw, I adore your authors of 9 "threads" at the botom.

I get where you are coming from. I enjoyed the witcher one & two, but I really hate this kind of over hyping marketing strategy. Most reviewers probably haven’t even played the game more than 10 hours, just because they have to get their review out the door so fast, as to compete with everyone else.

Do you do the same thing every time Bethesda or Bioware release a game?

Some people take their Witcher too seriously. I'll probably be one of the those thread authors, or not.

I think in general people take what ever game they are found of to seriously. I know I am guilty of it as well.

I posted this in 'Off topic' because it's a joke about how the forums will be in a week or two, nothing informative about The Witcher 3 so didn't post it there, but guess somebody moved it here. Whatever works.

hmm… I remember one game that was like this, I think it was Risen 3? But I already feel the hype for this game is clearly going to trample that one.

Now I am a huge fan of the Witcher games and the Hype for this game was off the charts over a year ago.

I am sure within the first few minutes of the game being released 95% of all post will be about how they didn't do this and I don't like that no matter how good or bad the game may or may not be.

BTW, the GOG site is terribly slow. Now remind me again, why would I pick this over steam? I'll try the galaxy client and see if it's any better.

GOG has regularly been slow as a dog over here, especially at release time.

Gamersgate has lots of issues though.

Seems very fishy if they didn't send PC & XBox One review copies. I mean what the fuck. If the game isn't ready what are they doing? I'm starting to regret them not delaying it further. I hope this is just some misunderstanding. But it'll be very awful if the review embargos lift today, and every PC and XBox One site says they didn't receive copies for their wanted platform. I'm curious what the PC Gamer site will do, if they'll publish a review. They usually mention when they do not receive review copies in time.
