Hi!
Can anyone tell me when will we able to download the 2nd batch of free DLCs ?
If I'm not mistaken, they should be available for downloading today, shouldn't them ?
Thanks!

2nd batch? I wasn't aware there had been a 1st one. What was in it? Should I assume Steam installed it automatically?

The 2nd batch of free DLCs does contain a quest (Contract: Missing Miners) and an Alternative Look for Yennefer. The 1st one, released 19th May, was composed of Temerian Armor Set and Beard/Hairstyle Set for Geralt.
My TW3 was bought from GoG, but if yours is Steam and automatic updates are enabled, then I assume you already have them.
To check them out, you can go to your Steam Library, select the game, RMB, Properties, DLC tab.

What about the Devil's Pit area? 3 locked doors and a large underground area behind them…. Seems to be a placeholder for DLC?

Just been there. Either left to be added (tomorrow's missing miners DLC perhaps?) or is used in some already existing sidequest like other locked doors everywhere.

Hmm, don't know, no walkthrough I find has anything described for it. Although, the Prima guide has a map of the inside with just the entrances marked.

Blah!! Even if it is free just put it in the game to begin with.

And it is a very short walk from where the start of chapter 1 dumps you in Velen, an otherwise huge area, maybe the largest, of the whole game. Go figure…

According to official info here you have to tick the DLCs in Steam before they will download automatically.
One of the reasons I'm not a big fan of chopping up content like that because now if you "want it all" you have to keep track of the releases and check weekly for the next seven weeks and then make sure to tick for the download.

The first 2 (out of a planned 16) free DLCs for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - "Temerian Armor Set" & "Beard and Hairstyle Set" - are available for download now!

BEARD AND HAIRSTYLE SET (available from various barbers in the game world)
Customize Geralt of Rivia to your liking with this amazing set of beards and hairstyles.
How to get them:

2. Purchase the “FREE DLC PROGRAM” item from there (you will not be charged).
3. In the “More”/”Configure” menu you can choose “Available Content”, which will show the DLCs - tick them, and Galaxy will download them automatically.

2. If you have downloaded the DLCs but they still aren’t displayed in the game, restart Steam.
Playstation 4:DLCs are displayed as “Add-Ons” on the game's page on PSN.
