Ha, I had two ciphers, too. I used Hiravias instead of Pellegrino because druid spells are even a more powerful combo. He worked just fine as an off tank.

I wound up going as a wizard as my main character with Eder for tanking, Durance for heals, Kana only because I like the guy, then Aloth, and Hiravias. After finishing the game, I couldn't help but feel my group was a wee bit OP. With the amount of offensive magic my party had, most things melted in front of us. Granted this was on default difficulty. If I ever get around to replaying the game, I'll try playing it on a harder setting.
