Hi all! If you backed Pillars of Eternity and your tier came with the documentary, you can now access it from the Products Tab of your Account Profile! Enjoy the magic of The Road to Eternity now!
I'll be definitely watching it later tonight

Nice. Cheers for that Dez!

Edit:
Watched the documentary; thoroughly enjoyed it. It really puts a human face upon the company and makes one quite empathetic to their experiences. It's nice to see the barriers stripped back so that we can see a little of the the human side of the development equation.

Just finished watching it - very enjoyable! I especially liked the part about creating music for the sneak peak trailer, lol @the janitor

Puts me in the mood to play the game.

Just watched it myself too! It made me like this game even more if it is possible!

Such a lovely documentary. It really shows how important game PoE was for Obsidian. It is just amazing how much work, skill and dedication it takes to create these kind of wonderfull epic rpgs. And the best thing is that this is not the end of eternity, only the begining

You know there's passion put into it when they work 80 hour weeks. While this may be acceptable in a studio like Obsidian, I would never do this for a big corporate machine of a company. I always liked the guys at Black Isle/Obsidian. And Feargus Urquhart is one of the few CEOs that actually seems to be heavily invested in his team, and not just be in it for the money. Of course, this usually has the price that the company might not be doing the best financially. So there's a very delicate balance to hold, between staying afloat/financed and giving your people freedom to do what they do best.

Well I finally watched the documentary. I have to say I am very happy for their success, and it was great to get some insight into how the job of making a video games gets done. I hope this success gets parlayed into even greater successes for the company (if that's possible).

I am in a mood and disagree….

success leads to popularity which leads to disappointment. So just keep what they are doing I say.

Holy cats, the part where they get all the employees who played instruments in high school together to act as a makeshift choir and orchestra is making me sentimental.

They're all playing the cello in the lobby after work hours with janitors wandering by -- those are some team players right there!

I finished the game, so I finally took the time to watch the documentary. It shows all the problems they get during development in a multi-project company.

Learning that the music was done in house, including the singing, makes the game even more special. I really like how it ended up.

You had to back at a certain level to get the documentary or buy the Champion or Royal Edition of the game.
