Fallout - A Thorough Look At Fallout
June 9th, 2015, 00:49
Silver let us now that he spotted a video, which provides a long-winded overview of all five games in the Fallout franchise, examining Fallout's evolution as a series as well as how different titles have reflected shifting trends in gaming. It focuses more on writing and design than gameplay mechanics, with spoilers throughout! Edited with captions to compensate for poorly balanced audio in the latter third of the video.

Five games?
Theres Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout Brotherhood of Steel, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
I count 6.
And Fallout Brotherhood of Steel is probably the most important one in understanding where it all went so wrong.

No, though both contain the phrase "Brotherhood of Steel" so I can understand the confusion. Brotherhood of Steel is the console title viewed with much scorn by the more vocal Fallout fans - I've not played it personally (have generally avoided it due to its extremely negative reputation…)

Tactics on the other hand, I think is a little under rated. Whilst not a full blown RPG by any stretch of the imagination, the combat is still entertaining, the scenarios quite varied and interesting.

Thanks for this video link, Myrthos. I've recommended it to students of mine who have expressed an interest in knowing more about the series.
