The game was always playable and good since it's release last year. I don't care what Steam & metacritic users say. Now if you're talking about the spin-off Starships then yes.

I'll simply say that I rather play Beyond Earth then Civ 5.

I can recommend a whole list of games but it would take a while to type the list.

So I'll just list two games for now.

1. Endless Space
2. Endless Legends

I'd say play them all , but thats impossible as I played almost 200hrs in a few of those games. Also a bunch of new games are going to be released in the next few months.

I will recommend the spellforce games though if you have time to play them. I even remember reading a third spellforce game is in production with a different developer.

Taken roughly from your list I'd point these titles as some of my favorite ; some of the games I spent most hours with in the last 20 years or so. From this Space Rangers 2 is the most innovative and original one, no doubt, and probably the one I'd recommend the most (it's fairly priced nowadays, be it on STEAM Store or GoG or directly from 1C.

Fantasy General is one of my favorite games of all time. I would pay $100 for it on GoG if they could get it to run on modern machines. DOS box does not get the music right. The best music in a game ever.

Civ 4 is so much better then Civ 5. Then you add mods like Fall from Heaven and it is not even close.

You've never played Master of Orion 2? I strongly recommend finding the nearest time machine, because you need to have played that yesterday. That's required playing.

And I agree with what's been said about Civ 4 being better than 5 and Space Rangers being great.

So I have played MoO 1…

Haven't played any of the Jagged Alliances yet (have 1 and 2 + expansion).

Does JA2 beat all of the above?
