Guild of Dungeoneering will be out tomorrow. You can already pre-order it on GOG and Steam.
More information.
Guild of Dungeoneering is a turn-based dungeon crawler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot!

Totally crazy design. Could be good.
But… Not enough time to try it, too many games waiting for play, continue and replay. If anyone does buy it, please share impressions. If great, I could add it at least to my backlog for 2017.

If it is crowdfunded, it is a 9/10.
Adventurers do not seem to level up through a stat system, and get new skills from equipment. It is RPG.
Something to remember for future characterization.
Another feature: looks like hard damage, no RNG generated damage. Keeps being interesting…
Ah, yes, it has a bard in it. If it has a bard in it, that's RPG.

Anyone with such interests would enjoy this game for more than an hour?
Sure, if you say so

The game mechanics look fun and original which is a huge plus. The real question is whether they add up to a good game in practice. I think that ultimately determines whether the game is "gimmicky" or just original. In theory I love games like this, in practice many just don't work.
The initial Steam reviews almost all seem to think that the base game is very fun, but some express problems with things like resolution and UI. It's hard to say how a deal that is. I'm still on the fence until I read a bit more.
