About as hyped for a patch as can be…it's better they take their time to make sure it has no problems/
I'm more excited about what they've mentioned, vaguely, about the upcoming expansions, adding some new gameplay features, aside from new locations/quests.
I think there will be new finishing animations added in some of the coming free dlc's as well.

Apparently both expansions combined will be almost as long as TW2. First about 10 hours and second about 20.

That's just estimated.
Some estimated the game on 100-120 hours and it took me 150 (would last more if I did grind all the ? on Skellige sea map).
And the full changelog I'm copying here (it loads for 10 minutes for god's sakes):
It's huge!!!

Just read through all of these changes, for some I didn't know those were bug, I thought it's intended (innkeeper not showing for example, or getting a coin or few in already looted container), some from the list I did spot, but none of those "rares".
In any case, good job CDpr!!!

I don't they will be as big as Witcher II…it was still average sized game, 30ish hour or so.
Iorveth and Saskia are all but guaranteed though. If they manage to split it down the middle with extra quests and content that "only" enhances existing game, I would be damn glad for it. More monsters, extra difficulty, more skills and of course more sex
.
This should probably go into separate thread but here is some info on it.

What I would like to see, is more of a Bioware-sque adventure in place here, for a change. Something like Triss, Zoltan, Dandelion, Ciri and the rest, all playing a part in it, besides Geralt.

No word on a suggested character level for the expansions though. I hope they're meant for high-level characters that have finished the main quest.
Otherwise, I won't be playing them until I replay TW3, and that won't be for a long time.

Really liking this game but still way overlevelling for just about anything. I either have quests that are 10+ levels above me and a bunch that are 2-7 below.

???
But the game doesn't have level scaling (thank god). Of course you'll outlevel or underlevel something.

Ok, patch is live on GOG and Steam. GOG Galaxy is kind of hammered right now, so I downloaded the patch from the site. Worked surprisingly fast.

Yeah, thought the patch wasn't there (or wasn't working) until I left Galaxy and downloaded direct from GOG. They should probably post some kind of update to that effect if they haven't already. Messed around for a bit and love the new inventory!

Seems Galaxy just can't pwn the amount of requests for 2.1 Gb patch.
But okay… it's still beta and it's not that there is no other option.
Just as others, I also had to download the patch directly from GOG, Galaxy tried to update the game but kept disconnecting.

Okay, I closed GOG Galaxy, relaunched it and it's downloading… a freaking 7.1 (not 2.1) Gb patch?!! I was on 1.06, with verified files just before, so it can't be just re-sending me some old stuff.
7.1gb… Am I the only one so "blessed" ?
Guess I'll watch some old Star Trek in the meantime. Sigh.

7.1?!?!
Kill it! It's downloading the raw data! Probably the Steam patch is that big.
Download the compressed patch from GOG, it's fast and only 2.1Gb.
