Who preordered Fallout 4?
July 11th, 2015, 09:35
Pre ordering now? That's pre ordering.
Bethesda has a vision, a long term vision they 've been trying to push over the years.
I skipped Fall out 3 and complements as it was obvious they've made dubious choices.
Fall out4? They seem to have made better choices and they will also use it as a platform to test implementations of features that will structure further their TES series.
That makes it an exciting game to check and play.
Pre ordering on the day before release, maybe. Pre ordering now? No.

Pre-ordered last night. Finally read something that resolved my irritation with how the game will start.
Getting totally hyped now. Also just ordered a new super-beast of a PC which will arrive in about 2-3 weeks.
Going to mod the hell out of this game

Vurt is mostly a lurker, but I bet he comes around once the game is out. He'll be compelled to fix the vegetation
He was last here May 26th, so it has been awhile…
I was offended too that the game started with a happily married heterosexual couple. How dare they! Somebody call David Gaider so we can have sex with dogs and robots this time!

I definitely won't be preordering. As much as I like Bethesda's games, they're usually sub-par at release, and I have too many other games to play in the next few months.

Yep, I'll pre-order a few days in advance so I can pre-load. I played Skyrim for 200 hours before I ever patched or modded, so I'm sure I'll be fine. Were there bugs? Yep. I called them Chaurus…. Did it stop my enjoyment? Nope.

I'll buy at release if reviews are good. Probably from greenman gaming because steam prices blow.

A couple of my friends pre-ordered the Pipboy Collector's Edition but I haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet. I'll probably greenmangaming coupon it the day before it comes out.
But I'm not seeing any pre-order perks worth going after? I don't see a point in pre-paying for a game for no additional benefit or discount (short of supporting the creators I guess.)

Nope, just not a game for me.

But if you're a patient person, then no, there's really no need to pre-order - and you'll be supporting them by buying it later as well, so.
I wouldn't worry about sales for FO4. For all the hate Bethesda gets - they sure have a massive amount of fans.

But I do try to support developers I believe in with my purchases … but more and more I am taking deals where I can get them on games that are ones I know I will play and like, but am not as worried about how my full price purchase will support the developer's future efforts.
As I mentioned, since I was able to get a double-coupon from GMG (including a 40% off for 'screwing up' Witcher 3 keys for more than 12 hours - the horror) … I definitely grabbed it. It will end up as pennies per hour of gaming for me. Playing Skyrim right now makes me feel very happy in advance with my purchase.

I tend to spend a lot on a few (crowd-funding mostly), rather than buy everything full price. I'd feel sick paying full price for some AAA by-the-numbers title, for instance. Doesn't mean I'm not curious and want to spend a few hours playing around with it. The curse of being interested in games for other reasons than to complete them

For Fallout 4, I'll gladly pay full price if it's within reason - but the irony is that it won't make a difference - as they'll be selling 15+ million copies at full or near full price, anyway.
I'm not stupid enough to believe in "voting with my wallet"

Anyone know how many pre-orders have gone through already? I think it might be near 4 million, but I could be sniffing glue too

I'll buy it during a Christmas sale and shelve it until the GECK gets released.
