Very likely a heavily influencing factor, rumor or not.
July 3rd, 2015, 21:06
It's probably a factor, but there are a lot of shitty games on Steam, and I don't see other publishers reworking them.
Of course that doesn't mean much if the problems aren't fixed, so I'll reserve judgment until after we see what they've done with it.

Eh…I don't know about you, but for once, I'm glad that we have all those metacritic trolls who downvote games…have you seen user score on pc…something like 1.5? That's less than half of Raven's cry! It will definitely hurt them on the sales and GOTY awards, even if they completely fix it and after this a good number of developers/publishers will probably think twice before releasing games like this.

Just one Game of the Year award will result in a Game of the Year Edition which will almost certainly include… Batgirl! The DLC they are going to be releasing in 10 days!
Yeah - working their tails off on the PC version - really they are.

"What?? No ambient occlusion and I can't see raindrops hitting the hood of the Batmobile?! This game is a 1.5!!"

IMO the game deserves 0.1/10.
And even that is probably too much. On PC.
But my alergia on bugs is known, so… Nothing new.
It does look fun on PS4 vids without stutters and freezes, so I'll probably buy it eventually. When and if they patch it up, ofc. Here's hope it won't be the community who'll go fixing it this time.

It's not a good thing and the rating is ridicilous…I'll wager that majority of the negative ratings even for consoles come from angry PC users, who intentionally are lowering all of it's scores.
But it's a good thing as thanks to the "wisdom" of Metacritic, developers will now have to take viciousness of player base into account when releasing unprepared product and how it may end up biting them in the ass.
Think about how much money, time, face AND effort Bioware could have saved if they took just a few days more to make a decent ending to ME3.
Seriously, sometimes it seems video game developers live in a separate reality where common sense and reason doesn't exist…they spent years developing this game, with graphics, sounds, music, environment design, animations, game mechanics etc.. all raised to the highest quality…and then outsource the optimization and performance to a team of twelve people, with little experience and credibility, only a few weeks before release.

Metacritic doesn't even know if you own a game. There will be plenty of "reviews" on there from people who just read the news stories and wanted to punish WB.

Dunno in what state the new release is, I'm still interested but have no time to play it now so no buy for a while.
Hopefully they fixed at least all performance killers and crash causes.

You're right, I just saw it on VG247 comments. And I just can't believe this.
Is Warner really that stupid? No, people won't be buying the game just because it's re-release until it's major flaws are dealth with!

Try disabling Nvidia Gameworks in the options. I've heard that most of the issues result from having that enabled.

On Windows 10, Warner recommends having "at least 12GB of system RAM" if you are having problems. This will allow the game "to operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience".Paging? What paging? In year 2015. on PC they're talking about paging? Have Warner ever heard about SSD? Oh they didn't put SSD as requirement… Well, they didn't put 12Gb RAM either.
Unbloodybelievable.

What are your system specs? Now I'm tempted to get this just to see how it runs on my rig.
October 29th, 2015, 19:26
I'm running a Core2 Quad Q9450 2,7 ghz (which in terms of performance is more or less equal to an I5-750) , 6gb ram and I'm running a GTX 960 (2GB). Oh, and I'm not using an SSD. So I reach the minimum system specs, and for the graphics card it's above recommended specs. The game thought I should have most graphics settings set to medium, but that did not work.
