TW3 Wins PCGamer SP GotY Award

PCGamer awarded MGS5 with GOTY crown.
MGS5 is a great game. But GOTY? On PC?
Every minus I can think of aside, MGS5 is a game where tooltips you see on the screen are mushrooms and nonstandard gadgetery silhuettes. It's still playable with M+K unlike Neptunia, but still.

And now, PCGamer's scapegoat is SINGLEPLAYER category.

According to PC Gamer, Witcher 3 is not "Best Single-player game". Witcher 3 is 2nd Best Game in 2015. But since saying "2nd Best Game" sounds bad, PC Gamer is just making categories as they go, whatever fits. So, here's fingers crossed for "Best beachslap" or "Best Mouse Support" awards.

Honestly, for a site like PCGamer is, I thought choices will be more credible.
It seems to me that site's staff didn't finish nor properly analyzed any of games they vote in between, but just briefly played through their intro.

I suppose I'll have to try MGS5, but I'll need to read more examples of why the gameplay is so good.

MGS5 gameplay is stellar. Spectacular. Amazing. Superb.
Dunno if you added me as friend on Steam, but peek on my profile if you did, I played that game for 400+ hours which would be impossible if a game was rotten.

But the vote was not gameplay of the year. It's game of the year. Overall game. And overall, there are too many minuses MGS5 has to put it in front of FO4 and TW3.

Superlatives don't sway me any more. Only examples.

There is no example. Wait for Steam sale that's happening after a few days, buy the game, uninstall ESO and play the game.
Do not judge it by it's first 20 missions and especially not by it's first chapter. PCGamer obviously did exactly that.
