Thank you so much, everyone! Each and every one of you! I'm overwhelmed that I could bring you something you enjoyed, even a little bit.
@Nephologist: Yes! That's where you get the "Wrath of Winter" title. I used that title for-e-v-e-r. It was one of my favorite titles in any game.
@Rune_74: Are you already on FFXIV? If not, I desperately hope you like it. You'll have to tell me what server you're on.![]()

I have not played the expansion but I did "finish" the base game some time ago and its one of the best MMO out there right now. It has an excellent and helpfully community.
I love this game so much so that I have on both PC and PS4
The nice thing is that both PC and PS4 players are on the same server and you use the same account so the same character is available on PC and PS4. So when I am relaxing and soloing, I used to play on PS4 on my couch but use the PC for any group content.I haven't played the expansion yet due to new baby but its on top of my list of games to play once I get some free time.

Wow! Such a wonderful article. Original too! It really gets you in the wintery gaming spirit.
Outside the sun is shining, birds are chirping - fine, go ahead! 'Cause we have snow inside.

That was a fun article and it reminded me of how many games I've yet to play in my backlog! We're going for a record high today of 62°F (or 16°C) in Michigan, so it was nice to see some virtual snow.
Also for any really old school RPG fans, I'd add Demon's Winter to the list!

A very nice selection of wintery games indeed!
Personally, my mood coincidentally shifted very recently from temporarily abandoning what I was playing before (Max Payne, LotR BfME 2 RotWK (<-- lol@acronymania
), AC Rogue and TESO) and instead towards playing a nice epic RPG over the holidays and so I picked up the Dragon Age Inquisition GotY for €29.99.
Here's "my" Inquisitor and Solas having a chat among the snowflakes!

DAI has that awesome hike through the snow and then the heart warming song afterwards. That would certainly put me into the holiday mood.

*Points out to Hoth in SWTOR, even althouigh it rather looks like war, and not so much as Winter*

This is such an excellent article, considering the very un-wintery, warm Christmas we had. I personally really like Guild Wars/GW2 for snowy scenery. Maybe not the best game, but there's something about the Norn areas that feel bitterly cold, but sunny and beautiful. Skyrim is a very close second, but oftentimes (at least in my game) there's blizzards and such blocking out the sun.
