I didn't vote for 2015, only played 2 games and didn't enjoy both very much (PoE and SCL).

2015
1. Witcher 3 (of course)
2. Pillars of Eternity
3. Fallout 4 (not much of an RPG, actually, but these are the only three I played, so FO4 gets third by default)
2016
1. Torment: Numenara
2. Mass Effect: Andromeda
2. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Too many colons next year, apparently…

As usual, so many titles that I haven't played leaves me feeling a little narrow and limited in my gaming experiences. Nonetheless, it was a reasonably good year for RPGs and I look forward to many more adventures in 2016.
2015:
Pillars of Eternity
Age of Decadence
Avernum 2: Crystal Souls
2016:
Dark Souls III
Torment: Tides of Numenera
Avadon III: Warborn

EDIT: OK, disregard my post, I found what I was looking for. I was looking for it to be called a bit differently.
Black Closet and SOMA are RPGs?

Well lets see as I played a lot of RPGs this year.
2015
1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
2. Pillars of Eternity
3. Fallout 4
2016
1. Torment: Tides of Numenera
2. Kingdom Come: Deliverance
3. Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Oh well I suppose I could be a hipster, and only pick indie RPGs also.
2015
1. Underrail
2. Age of Decandence
3. Serpent in the Staglands
2016
1. Avadon III: Warborn
2. Battle Brothers
3. Mount and Blade II
Tough call I say as to many good games are being released.

2015:
1. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter
2. The Witcher 3
3. None - at least none of similar quality
2016:
None. I don't happen to wait for any games at all. All of them could turn out to be a disappointment, so what's the point in hyping myself up. No expectations = less chance to feel let down, more chance to be pleasantly surprised.

I'm having the same problem.
Am I… not member enough? Is there a platinum membership I need to obtain or something?

They added that last and didn't let people in Early Access go through it first and give their feedback.

Ah, thanks for the help. I am a thorough lurker so I guess no voting. And +1 for the LoH SC vote. Boom.

Hard to vote for 2015 games as I haven't played enough of them and of the ones I've played I have only played 6 or 7 hours for most. Most of 2015 was catching up time on other games and completing them ie. XCOM with new expansion, D:OS EE, Shadowrun Dragonfall, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Tales of Maj'Eyal (a great roguelike rpg)
Still of the ones I've played which were released 2015 the ones that left the best impression were:
Games of 2015
1: Underrail
2: Shadowrun Hong Kong (at bit wordy and combat a bit easy but its Shadowrun)
3: Chaos Reborn (more tactical, strategy but has enough rpg elements to satisfy me)
*If I could have included expanded editions I would of put D:OS EE at number 1 as I played and finished it this year. Incidentally why is HOMM 3 HD in the list given its just a graphical update?
Games of 2016
1: XCOM 2 (I know - is it an rpg? But for me it most certainly is)
2: Divinity Original Sin 2
3: Torment: Tides of Numenera
----------------------------------------
4: Baldurs Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
