Gods Among Pirates - On Kickstarter

The crowdfunding campaign for Gods among Pirates has started on Kickstarter and they are asking for 85K Euro.

With Gods among Pirates we want to approach the classic pen-and-paper RPGs to the world of Videogames.

Set on a steampunk pirate world, Gods among Pirates offers to the players the opportunity to become part of a universe where there are plenty of pirate crews, floating islands, flying ships and a group of capricious Gods that will shape the destiny of the Pirates at their will.

Gods among Pirates is not another Role Playing Game, it is The Role Playing Game.

On Gods among Pirates you will have at your disposal a great variety of customization elements that will allow you to live immersive adventures on a 3D world form a third person perspective.

GaP Game wants to transmit the main experience of tabletop role playing games where the Master creates a story setting and the heroes play it.
The essence of Gods among Pirates, the point that makes it different from the rest of videogames, is the fact that the players share the control of the story, where any of them can change the course of it in real time.

Every adventure needs a God
On Gods among Pirates, it will be the Master the one who controls the story; Taking the role of a god you will be able to create your own maps and objectives so that any adventure is like the previous one.

You will control the situation from the skies, having a great arsenal of powers such as the capability of possessing any of your units, controlling them with a third person camera.

On the game you will be free to join the adventures as an omnipotent God and be the master, or take the role of a legendary Pirate and live endless stories designed by the capricious gods.

· Customize your hero with lots of different items
· Fight in real time
· Conversations with NPCs have never been so interactive.

"Gods among Pirates" is the first videogame currently in development of the spanish indie studio Ahrledia Games, a project that wants to approach the classic tabletop RPGs to the world of videogames, and which hopes to be supported through a crowdfunding campaign on kickstarter during this month of May.

It almost feels like they are on the cusp of something---but that will all slip through their hands at trying this as an online multiplayer thing and as such a ratio of scope/money.

Damn it general talented folks---MMO's and their ilk mixed with KS are almost always doomed to scale!
