Maine and Boston aren't real close. It's about 200 miles or so further north. Not that F4 had that many Bostonian accents.

Not important, it's all not proper English no matter what.

Actually thats probably a better question for language experts. With the World being blown up and all a select population to draw from in terms of surface dwellers its really anyones guess what sort of accent the people of the future would have.
