Leon Russell dead

2016 continues to take its toll on musicians. Leon Russell passed away in his sleep last night. He was 74

I apologise if he means a lot to you, but I'd never heard of him before, and I'm quite good with music. Looking at his obits he seems to have been a niche within a niche?

He was more popular 40+ years ago in the early 70s, and even then he was usually not a headliner. He played with the likes of Joe Cocker, George Harrison, and Bob Dylan.
