  • Plan your moves carefully and execute them with precision
  • Conquer seemingly impossible challenges where you are outnumbered ten to one

Its almost an rpg but not quite. Its got story, tactics and a campaign but no character development I think. Although I could be mistaken.

Are you joking? I assume you are but I probably need the hike explained to me…

I like the look of this, although I did have preferred if there was character advancement as well.

The fact that it is mechanically real-time separates it from Blackguards for me by a wide margin (though not in a good way for me). While I'm intrigued and like the setting, the idea of having to control 5 characters at once in a real-time environment is much less appealing - especially for a stealth game where I like to take my time and stay hidden. I'm worried you'll run into situations where it becomes too much of a click-fest, trying to get things done (even with the "shadow" mode).

Yeah, it is 'basically' the same as Blackguards, assuming you define 'the same' as being completely different (e.g., an elephant is basically the same as a fish)….

I think Couchpotato meant that it's like Robin Hood Legend of Sherwood, or Commandos, but set in Japan.

Well I now know one thing that Blackguards has a few die hard fans on this site. Though you can all relax as I wasn't being serious, and just took a jab at the game.

As for both Blackguard games I didn't enjoy playing them, and never finished them.

Yeah that's a better description.

I'm never going to understand team-based real-time and RTWP games. They're so difficult to balance, animate and execute, just a real pain in the ass for the developer. 90% of the time, the best you can say about the combat in these games is that it's mediocre, but you still play for the story (see Tyranny, PoE, etc.)
And what's the payoff? All the real-time action turn-based fans love, with all the careful contemplation and planning that action gamers crave.

Looks interesting. Hope this isn't final AI though. 5 guards actively looking for me but they can't see me because I'm on a wagon? Not good.
