Dishonored 2 - New Game Plus
December 15th, 2016, 03:13
Arkane announced that Dishonored 2 will be getting a New Game Plus mode this coming Monday with the new patch.
If you've wondered what it would be like to combine Empress Emily Kaldwin's all-new abilities with Royal Protector Corvo Attano's signature powers, you'll soon have the opportunity to do just that. Next week Dishonored 2 will get its first free Game Update, which - along with various improvements based on player feedback - includes New Game Plus. With this new mode, you'll be able to combine Emily's Mesmerize with Corvo's Devouring Swarm - or create any other custom combo of multiple powers that you can you imagine.More information.
Unlocked once you complete Dishonored 2 with either Emily or Corvo, New Game Plus lets you begin anew with either character, but this time you'll have access to the full suite of abilities from both of the game's heroes. You'll also start your new playthrough with all the Runes and Bonecharm Traits you've collected from your previous game, but you'll be able to re-assign those Runes so you can choose the powers you want.

Still didn't start it and not because of initial performance problems that were corrected (I'm on GTX 1070 so I shouldn't see those anyway), but because friends persuaded me to return to LoL. It'll be a brief "adventure" - when a newcomer friend reaches level 30 I'm out. Stupid Riot after all these years didn't fix anything and is still pulling people's nose. No way I'm accepting it. Hell I'm gonna write it in another thread.
While I cannot speak about own experience yet, PCGamer just crowned D2 with GOTY title:
http://www.pcgamer.com/game-of-the-y…-dishonored-2/
Still take Couch's grain of salt here. Because for all I know DX:MD has a better hair, better compression tech that doesn't give you a few hours of fun while occupying 50 gigs of HDD plus allows gamesaving anywhere in openworld (opencity to be more precise).
Also keep in mind that previous GOTY by PC Gamer was pay2cheat MGS5 - it wasn't a bad game, in fact it was awsome if you disable MMO part, but winning over TW3 (not just hair reason!) was blasphemic.
I just wish days lasted longer. Maybe Dishonored 2 deserves being praised, sadly I won't have enough time to check it for a week or two.
Oh yeah, also thanks to watchers who kept silent for 3 years before mentioning how Saints Row 4 good is. There went so many of my free hours, not that I'm complaining, it's a brilliant game, it's just next time talk when it's released please!

Although, Dishonored 2 probably win best level design for the next 10 years for the Clockwork Mansion and A Crack in the Slab missions. Really impressive stuff.

I liked Dishonored 2 more than Deus Ex MD. There are some really amazing missions in that game. The level of detail just gets crazy. They got Stephen Russell of Thief fame to voice Corvo. If that doesn't work for you….
The audio is well done too. Great atmosphere.
DXMD just wasn't very memorable. None of the missions were particularly impressive. The ending was especially weak. Prague was impressive though yeah. I'm not keen on their timeline either. It's supposed to be only 13 years from now. Not believable.
