G2 and G3 require internet connection to run
December 19th, 2016, 18:51
I have tested it extensively - I need to be connected to internet to play. If there is no connection the games will not start at all. I am using gog versions of the games without any modifications. I purchased the games several weeks ago.
Do you hapen to know how to fix it? or is it normal?
Even stranger - again tested it - on slower wifi connection the games take longer to start and it also takes lonegr to load saved games???
Btw, I play on MSI laptop with Win 7 home premium 64 bit.
cheers!

Sorry never had this problem with the GOG versions. As the only version where you have to log on to play is if you have the Steam versions, but even then you can go offline.

It's impossible. Maybe you're running them through Galaxy client?
I'd try with uninstalling Galaxy.
G3 itself, from GOG as I rebought it there and played, does not need any internet connection.

I dont have gog galaxy installed. I use the standard desktop icon that is created during installation.
even more weird - the game does start and runs without internet connection but…it takes several minutes to start *scratch head*
