fire mage perk ???

I have a staff that grants fire mage perk. I tested fireball with and without it and it looks like the dmg does not increase and it should.

so whats the point of wasting 3 levels worth of lp on this? If i might not be taking firerain for example.

No idea. Like time bubble, I think it was flat out broken when I last played mage in G3. Maybe it still is. The only damage difference I ever noticed was due to AK.
