First look at the skill system menu. Focusing on the tech category. It's pretty much the same thing has ME3 in term of skills/passives having their own mini-trees. Some new or redesigned abilities in there too. Remnant VI sound like the new Combat Drone and you can even command it to attack a specific target now.
There is something new though, some abilities have a tap and a hold function. For example, Overload has a normal single target attack on tap, but if you hold the button it will chain to 2 other targets (might be possible to increase, because in the other gameplay trailer it it to bounced to 3 targets).
edit:
Oh and looks like profiles give you a skill too. The Engineer profile comes with the Combat Drone.

WEAK!! This One man Lame army would have got shot to smithereens in 3 seconds in Mass Effect 1-2-3.

1. Too long new Normandy sequence, then again, long enough to spot that compared to Shepard's Normandy this new one sux
2. Horrible UI, whoever is playing was circling with a mushroom - in a game coming from EA where circular UI dialogues feel natural without mushrooms in Sims 3/4 this is very odd. Bioware should learn a thing or two from Maxis.
3. Is this Angry Joe playing the game? At least looks like someone without skill. Or the pathetic display of combat occured because mushrooms.
4. What's with the music? Where is galactic spectacle sound, where is thrill and dark tones, where is Gravity sound editing?
If we'll ignore rendering (and we should - there is no TW3/TR/DX:MD HAIR), overall it's a disappointing trailer.
Additional note: unless there is a different UI on PC or a modder promises to fix that horrible click/hold control ideas, I don't think I'll ever buy this game.

I don't die unless I make a stupid mistake when I'm sub level 5.

UI is awful indeed. I hope there will be a modified version for PC, but doubt it.
And this time they didn't dare to show facial animation and hair. Really hope they'll deliver here.

- As always nice cinematics. Love how Tempest glides between asteroids.
- Eh, consolized UI, bland icons, etc. Seems the game will still have "credits" as currency…how will that work in another galaxy?
It would be more interesting if you had to barter your own (limited) resources that you could use elsewhere.
- Switching classes on the "fly"…not good. There should be at least some kind of limitation, even if it is more shooter oriented.
Also only three abilities? Lame.
- Counting 15 ( most active) abilities on tech tree…so there will be enough for experimentation though.
- Profiles, so far, look like only +% passive bonuses, based on what you invest
-Overall skill/classes looks like a crossover between Amalur and ME III
Now onto gameplay:
- Def downgraded core gunplay…weaker sounds, static crosshair/no hip fire, little recoil. Have no idea why they went in this direction.
- Ok visual and sounds, but oversaturation ( like in DAI) with both. You can barely hear flamethrower sound, from all the noise.
- Enemy AI seems too passive to present a challenge( this could be difficulty dependant, but doubtful).
They seem to have more variety, in numbers and abilities though. Also using similar "wave" design like in ME III.
- Animations…ok, overall bit better than last game ( especially walking, running, will miss that), but where are hit reactions on enemies? Seems BW is still catching up with this.
- Camera…too close and narrow for more mobile gameplay, player nearly occupies a third of the screen.
Overall: Ok? Promotion seems disjointed, unfocused, but from this material seems like continuation of BW over last 5-6 years…two steps forward, two steps back.

I'm still hoping to enjoy it, but it's all pretty uninspiring so far. Odd that they can't even sort out a compelling trailer

The devs have lots of hoops to jump through - story, gameplay, animation and numerous things you mentioned -- to achieve a successful launch.
No word yet on system requirements but one can only hope that good gameplay on the PC version will be optimized for existing PCs rather than for PCs of tomorrow or for the best of the best being used today -- which is to say hope they will learn from DX:MD, Mafia III and Dishonored 2.
People aren't going to immediately sink substantial funds into a new or improved PC except for a truly stellar game. If system requirements are too high, lots of ppl will wait to buy the game until a future time when they upgrade their pc -- at which point game prices will be less, etc,

Sceneries are gorgeous. To no goal. Players will race through them, with no reason to pay attention.
It is stunning that even in waste products, so much resources are wasted on elements that have no goals. They add nothing.

Like I said… just more of the same.
I have to say I'm surprised though at just how unimpressive this looks. Even the visuals are only moderately improved over ME1, and that game is nearly 10 years old now. They could have just used Unreal Engine 3 again, and I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

Yep, in the trailer i seems that you can only have 3 active abilities at a given time. It has already been pointed out in the unofficial Bioware forums. This limitation would really suck.![]()

If it was just the same in this regard we'd had at least 8-10 active skills like in ME3 or DA:I.

Visuals are the least concern here. ( Probably will have decent pc optimization too, Frostbite).

1. Charge…too useful, for both offense/maneuverability
2. Shield type power…will need it, less cover based
3. ?

They apparently think that more simplified controls sell more units. The sad thing is that this might be true.
