I tried to replay it a couple of years back. I got a lot further than I did the first time but, ultimately, I got bored and stopped. There was a big mod I included that added some nice things to the game.
It had a really unique 3D Vision setup. Normally, 3D is done so that distant options make your eyes go parallel, just like the real world. This one set distant objects to be at screen depth and everything else to pop out of the screen. It SHOULD have looked like the entire world was in a little box between your nose and the screen but that's not how it appeared. It still looked like distant objects were distant! Freaky psychology for sure - like proving that you can't see color in your peripheral vision. Unfortunately, they dropped 3D Vision support in one of the updates.

I've heard mostly bad things about the first game. I got up to the final boss on TW2, and I couldn't beat it. Up to that point it had been a bit rough around the edges but mostly fun. Kind of ruined the game for me. Another thing that bugged me was that one of the faction quest lines was completely broken on PS3, so I couldn't progress it. But a third game would definitely have potential.

I could be wrong, but although Reality Pump still exists as a brand, I thought virtually all the staff left to join CDPR and others. I think this is Reality Pump in name only.

I haven't played a ton of the two Two Worlds games, but I watched my dad play them a lot. I have to say I like some aspects of 1 better than 2. 1 had a huge open world, while 2 had some open areas it was ultimately smaller and even linear in spots.
The Olde English or whatever voice stuff from the first game is legendary (if for mostly all the wrong reasons
), but I think it gives the game charm. The third game will be interesting to watch develop, if just for the fact that it will give my dad a new RPG to play (maybe a console release or something??).

I liked the first better than the second, really. I just couldn't find much fun in the second game for whatever reason.

I don't think the 2nd game in a series is automatically "better", though. They're really different games in this case.
And Zloth, my dad and I play a lot of RPGs. When we can't co-op a game sometimes I will chill and watch him play a game he likes or help him with it, etc. That said, I played a chunk of the original Two Worlds and thought it was better than what I saw of the second game. Second game had cool things but I like the "Oblivion Killer" that the first game is (or advertised as).

Ah, that makes me feel better! (Well, somewhat better. Pittsburg just pulled ahead.)

I think this one is a bit better, though.
Pay..the..court..a fine..or serve..your..sentence! Good game, by the way. Playing New England is going to be rough.
The Patriots just need to FORFEIT…FOR-FOR-FOR-FOR-FORFEIT!

Couldn't get into the 2nd one - felt clunky and closed.
The first one was open, large, and enjoyed the combat, crafting and exploration. Oh and the music - it was very good and moody. Now if they can just re-master the dialog so that one can make sense of what is happening, it would be an instant hit!

Huge map, as in you could get lost and just wander around for hours killing, looting and crafting. A lot of the later parts of 2 also got downright linear.
