There is no question in my mind that Vampire is great, but I'm not sure how its hardware specs are, for that reason I didn't include the Knights of the Old Republic games either, I thought they might be too powerful for really low end stuff. As for Deus Ex, I replayed it recently and think the graphics and controls have aged horribly. I actually think System Shock 2 has aged better if you are going for a hybrid action-rpg.

The Spiderweb Software library should be good to go.

Dosbox can be quite demanding though. Chances are that something like Redguard, or other late DOS-games won't run

Redguard will work, but needs tweaking. It was a semi-windows game, meaning it needed Windows for the install, but not for the executable. So it would need to be installed on a Windows machine first, then move the appropriate folders as needed. And DosBox has Glide support too.

Any of the old Gold-Box games are a must. Throw in Unlimited Adventures, and you'll have RPGs to play for quite a while.
