Interesting looking first-person dungeon-crawler. Various difficulty options, etc.
Thanks for the tip . I grabbed this on a whim, six hours in on level 3 of the dungeon and it's good old school dungeon crawling fun with the right dosage of modern convenience features. I'm not sure I'll finish this but so far it is quite addictive. For €5.99 it's certainly a no-brainer .

From what I understand, they're playable with KB/M, but you're better off with a gamepad. Which titles were you thinking of getting? I've played most of them before they were released for PC.

Haven't played any FF games so something that is FUN with very good kb/m controls (never use controllers and hate them). I hear X is decent but unsure if it has good kb/m controls or is a good entry point.

FFXIV is a MMO (with subscription), but totally playable with KB/M.

Of the 3 FFXIII games, only Lightning returns has a shitty port (it doesn't support mouselook, you rotate the camera via the KB, if it wasn't for that, it would be fine with KB/M).

I believe the others are fine with KB/M, but I haven't played them personally.

FF9, FF10, FF10-2 and FF13 all have good K+M support. Do Not buy FF13, it sux, other three are good if not great. The rest of them I had no interest in so can't say anything - those all look like phonegames, not like something for PC.

Note by FF13 I mean FF13. Not FF13-2 nor FF13-3, I got so disappointed with the first one I didn't want sequels.

Not played any of the FF games:

which one that is party-based and without cartoonish characters with decent story and mechanics do you recommend (and of course a good PC port)?

Well none of them are going to have "very good" kb/m controls. They weren't designed for that.

As far as which one is a good entry point, it just depends on the setting and characters you prefer since all of the FF titles are separate unconnected stories. Maybe read about them and check out some YouTube videos.

I thought X was terrible.. weird setting and far too many cutscenes, but you might feel differently.

All party based, always some cartoonish characters (these are JRPGs, so anime design are around), mechanics are all kinda the same which is "JRPG standard" expect that the older games were full on turn-based, while the more recent are ATB.

Story wise, I personally liked FFXIII (unlike joxer, it's not an happy story though). FF10 is considered pretty good storywise. FF10-2 is kinda about music idols, sorta…might not be for everyone. My friend (a huge FF nerd) keeps telling me to play FFIX saying it was the best though, but it's a pretty old game so the graphics aren't that great.

FF VI is my personal fave, but IX is also very good … loads of good options here.
