Elex release date!

Not sure if this is true, but this has just showed up on Shopto.net in the UK (release date 15 Aug 2017) - it was showing TBC before:

Its exactly 3 months from today, I thought it was actually delayed to 2018?

That seems kind of early. I wasn't expecting it until late 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter.

Hopefully playable before the obligatory six hundred patches most new games seem to require these days.

No, the first date they gave was winter 2016/2017, then Q1 2017, then summer 2017 and at PAX East the producer of the game mentioned "September" several times in presentations.

So this August date sounds about right… maybe off by a month or THQ moved it up a month because PB made good progress. It could also be because of Gamescom (i.e. so they don't "have to" show it off there once again so close to release).
Or the source here is wrong and they will do the opposite by super-hyping Elex at Gamescom one last time before the release and the release will be in September as the producer said.

Lol, obviously not, huge ambition, huge game, knowing the dev and their talent to invent bugs, knowing dev they hardly collected gigantic investment to achieve gold solid testing, so be sure of ton of bugs at release, if none are game breaking that will be a major achievement.

Seems sooner than expected. Who tests their games, for a team of their size?
I'm surprised they don't use early access ( I volunteer JDR in advance )

Sorry, I don't do early access. Besides, since it's Piranha Bytes, I'd tell the rest of you that it's a 10/10 just to get you to buy it.
