Last game(s) you bought

Last game I bought, hmm. Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods, actually, as I thought it was an Enhanced Edition of the base game. I heard not-so-good things about it but I will end up playing it after I'm done with G3.
A friend also picked me up Dead State in the Steam sale. I've been meaning to get around to checking it out and just haven't yet, but I'm interested in it a lot being it's a Brian Mitsoda creation.

Dead State is a game I really want to enjoy, but it just bores me. I know it's the main point of the game, but constantly looting stuff just isn't my thing. Hope you enjoy it more though!

i backed it and waited many years until the very last patch and it was still a really bad game imo, just awful game design in so many ways. It was too bad because the setting itself is great.

The scavenging is alright with me, as I kind of like that if it's done in a meaningful way in a CRPG. I'm not really a big zombie fan, but the fact that this is a true CRPG makes it a lot more bearable.

Dead State has much more issues though. Basically it has several bad mechanics, which are then integrated in bad systems.
-Horrible engine, especially with lots of enemies with multiple hight levels the game has problems and might me stuttering heavily.
-Horrible AI which has big problems with path finding
-Horrible Combat. While the system itself works fine (e.g. in Dungeon Rats or Age of Decadence), the combat in Dead State is extremely dull, especially due to the start of the combat
-Some crashes (one companion actually makes the game crash if you take him with you on a mission)
-Horrible balance in combat
-Horrible balance in meta game (you maxed your base far before the time limit is reached, which is needed to finish the game. You need to click "next day" for 2/3 of the time available)
-Repetitive Dialogues
-Tasks in Base don't contribute anything to the game and are just busywork, also the buildings don't contribute a lot
-Bad interface
Personally I liked the scavenging and exploring, but besides of that really nothing makes much sense mechanically. And unlike other "not-so-good" games, Dead State doesn't really have any strengths.
Really has lots of wasted potential.

And on topic: Just bought Bounty Train (published by Daedalic) which looks like a Wild West Train version of FTL. Quite thrilled to play that one.

Well, for such a horrible game it has good reviews on Steam (Mostly Positive overall, Very Positive recently.) So I'm guessing I will probably enjoy it.

I wish you good luck and lots of fun ofc. Just don't wonder if you experience any weirdness. That's probably not you but the game.

Because of having fun with Styx 1, I bought the sequel too now. And becuase of some people here praising Berseria, bought that one too. That'd probably be it from current Steam sale.

Full Pipe, a weird kind of Adventure Game. It was was cheap, because nobody wanted it, I guess it was too much weird for most people.

Well, it's kind of weird, I guess. You could look at the original developer, pipe studio.
http://pipestudio.ru/ They are Russian developers, and 1C Company was apparingly the original publisher. Daedalic just translated it, I guess.

They are also publishing the retail version in germany:
https://www.amazon.de/Daedelic-Full-Pipe/dp/B003TO51YE
But yeah, maybe that's the reason it's not on steam. They probably don't have the full rights.
(also weird that there is no word about the developer on the package. It even says "produced by the makers of Ednas Breakout"

I picked up Crypt of the Necrodancer for a few buck the other day. It's kinda fun.

Diablo III Battle Chest
Oddly enough, I actually purchased the boxed version. I was browsing at a local GameStop, and they had 1 copy left for cheap. First time buying a PC game from a brick & mortar store in more than 5 years.
