Normally I don't, however in this genre animation standard is pretty important.

Every movement needs to feel polished, fluid and instill satisfaction. That's difficult to achieve while classes have weird postures and unnatural locomotion (arms moving while striking but not the rest of the body etc.). The particle effects are sweet though.

D2 has an offline mode. D2 is SP-friendly and completely viable with self-found gear.

I enjoyed Path of Exile for awhile like many others, but eventually you will hit a brick wall without trading or a guild. It's a huge time investment, far more wearing than Diablo.

It's a miracle that it works at all… there's too much, and it's like jazz… a product like Oblivion - far better software… but Morrowind… oh there's so much delicious nonsense in that." ~ words of wisdom by K.Rolston

D'Art also raised an important point regarding dull, unmemorable environments. The first act is a generic bore. I suppose the others are not as bad however they also lack a distinctive art direction, something to help differentiate them thematically.

I liked certain monster designs, others were terribly lacking in charm such as those curtains, statues or monkeys from Act 2… I loved naming conventions though.

I hope they'll deliver more consistency and polish with a potential sequel. I think they opted for a "more quantity-less quality" core philosophy due to getting some wrong impressions from how Diablo handled itemization.

They fixed that in the next patch with "solo mode" where you arent allowed to trade with other players or get excluded from the mode. You get better loot in solo mode.

Ehhh, too much time investment for this sort of thing…kill to get better loot to kill better to get better loot, etc.
Loved D2 back in the day( mind blast+Dragon Flight right on necros, hehe) though.

Oh, neat! Thanks

I might start a new character. Anyone else doing the same? We should co-op!

Huge download, I'd estimate it at about 10 gigs.

I'd be very interested to know how the new content is in terms of being distinct and significantly set apart from the rest of the game.

You wanna play?

We really should practice our co-op coordination to be ready for Star Citizen

(I am serious. Don't be afraid; it's not a trick!)
