Just a clusterfuck of time outs, 20k queue waits and hotfixes… so a pretty successful launch for The Fall of Oriath update

Is this a separate install or does it go on top of the original? What's the total install size?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to try this. I didn't find the original all that compelling.

Unfortunately that is the result of the game being online. They allow the servers to be overwhelmed at launch because they know people will lose interest over time. And they design it for normal usage. So they knew this was going to happen and they let it happen.

That 12.1 GB should be the game in total size.
I already had it instaled with only a few patches/updates missing.
Downloading 6.7GB. Only 30min left till its done.

@JDR13 Even if you did not like it that much, perhaps try it once more. It is free, after all. Just know what build you want and go from there.
What kind of character you like to play in a ARPG?

I played a Templar on my first go and made it through most of the third act. I liked my character well enough, but the game world didn't interest me much, and the very low difficulty was a factor as well.

So I guess the difficulty ramps up a lot faster now? After every act if I understand correctly.

It does feel like the difficulty has increased faster than normal. That said act 3 is still a cake walk yet harder than before. I think I need to get to act 4 before any real difficulty is offered.

Maintenance,so can't play the game.
I did play a little. Still in act 1. Basically,no great obstacle stands in the way.
I did find a unique weapon that is pretty good though.
I'm guessing that until act 4 it will be the easy difficulty, and from there the game will get harder.
Those newcomers and those who now decided that will jump into the game after a year or two will not like the pacing, perhaps. But,those who played the game more actively, they will like it,since the first 3-4 acts can be done fast, and jump into the new adventure. Can't please everybody, but there it is.
Personally,I like the idea to get through the first 3 acts fast. I played it quite a few times.
But,there is a lot of things to do in the game, the content is pilling up.

Templar can be fun to play…I mean, all characters are.

Well, I'm not sure how much my character build has to do with my current feelings towards this expansion (first time playing a trapper), but I'm finding the new Acts pretty humdrum.

The tilesets may be new but, as far as I've seen, they've gone for the "make a giant square space to roam around in, repeat it for a couple more zones, and call it a new Act" approach. The new Acts lack a lot of the intricacies and detail of the old content and it thus far appears they indeed went for quantity over quality. And as for the story… I'm just plain confused!

Hmm, ok. I guess I'll give it a pass then.

I've been meaning to give Warframe a proper try. Supposed to be very, very good.

But I'm busy with ESO these days.
