Self inflicted though, instead of the EA virus. Amazingly poor choices in the last few years. All of my mods will come from the Nexus.

In many cases those mods already existed and were free. Bethesda did not create anything there they just wrapped those mods in that shop.

I do wonder though, what is going to happen with Fallout IV virtual reality project.
That's something that seems very interesting to me.

Amateurs, community are doing mods. Thousand, tens of thousands of them from weapons, armors, to quests, campaigns and so on. For free, just for the pleasure.
If you go to a site like nexusmod you can see many of those.
What Bethesda is doing is just gathering those mods and selling them.
When you start to see a piece of armor or a weapon at 4-5 $ when it was free just 48 hours ago I do not know what you win yourself in there but ok.

They have never really put any effort at all to correct lot of bugs in any of their game.
The irony is than there is mods correcting bugs found in the campaign or quests and those mods could end in the shop. In that case, Bethesda would get money from a mod written by someone to correct bugs they actually let in the game.

It's was a typo. I was talking about Far Harbor last expansion, of course. Don't be too hard, I'm here to relax after all.

I'm sorry if I sounded hard. It certainly wasn't meant that way. I hope that we can exchange views and even disagree without giving rise to any bad feelings?

I am critic about Bethesda and their games because I play them since more than 20 years and I feel than the quality is going down fast. The greed they are showing those last years is not matched by what they produce.
I could easily close my eyes on prices if I felt than quality was there.
Now, I am not criticizing any person at all who has fun with their games or even to love them. That is not my point

That was directed at Bethesda, Aerth, not you. Right, Wisdom?
Let me clear up one thing. Bethesda is not charging for any mod that was released for free. What they are doing is creating a new mod space where mod authors that want money can now charge for their content. For mod authors who want money, this is a good thing.
Is it still a dick move on Bethesda's part? Yeah, mostly. That's why the mods are simplistic shit. Bethesda has agreed to QA the new stuff, so they don't want any real mods that would cause them work. They want textures and models and hope idiots are dumb enough to pay. Guess what? We've got console players who will buy into this for the ease of access alone.
Also, do you realize how much money games like Path of Exile generates through just vanity stuff? World of Warcraft? ESO? There is free money lying around and Bethesda wants more of it.

There were actually people trying to convince us that this bullshit wasn't just paid mods.

Perhaps because they are better quality and more complex … which doesn't seem the case so far.

Anyhow I am not getting worked up over it now. Waiting to see what happens. Whether I buy another Beth game depends entirely on whether I like it or not and little else. That applies to any game overall. I don't choose what games I purchase based on the company but on whether the game looks fun and I want to play it.

Yes the price is excessive by the looks!
They have listened in the past to people, and hopefully they will again. Hopefully they will reduce the price so that they will get more sales, and people will be happier.
Hopefully they will provide some quality control as well, and ongoing mini-DLCs (I mean a DLC is just a mod really isn't it?? is it?)
I think they said that Bethesda people will be contributing to the mods on the CC.
I just like the idea of a developer getting ongoing income from a game to increase replayability, and continue to develop the game if it is worth continuing to develop. And these games really are.
Hopefully I will get a big pay check for Christmas, but I know that is not going to happen. we can only live in hope!
