SLI a GTX 970 or…?

Haven't been looking yet, but the few GTX 1070/1080s I was watching on Ebay are still selling really high, at least higher than my budget for now. I know if I really am patient I can score one for cheaper, but I also need to have the money in hand before I start looking hard.

The 970 would still be for sale if anyone here is interested. Hoping that if the stars align, the 970 sells and then something else on Ebay sells, I'll have enough total to quickly grab a 1070/1080 and then have it here in a period of two days or so. In other words, a miracle.

Just an update. Nothing cooking so far. Seems like Ebay isn't as hot as it used to be. 10 years ago I couldn't keep my items listed for more than a couple days. Today, I'm almost lucky to get a sale. Weird, but I guess I'll leave them up there and see what happens.
