Tried to get into this several times, but combat is just too poor even for it's time. Shame.

Wonderful game. Finished it three times with all class builds. Still hoping that Underworld Ascendant will inspire the return of this genre and setting with a vengeance. That said, I didn't complete my Arx Libertatis run I started last year - need to get back to it some time. Always nice to read about this game and reflect on it.

A sequel with VR support (drawing the runes in the air instead of with a mouse) would be the kind of thing which would make me get a VR headset.

@ Todd: You're talking about the quest for Greu, the friendly troll? I remember it's a picture book of the outside world. You have to go to the Castle library to get it after talking to his mate for the tip (can't remember his name, but I remember that he's a goblin. )
