Ah, the upside of typically being 1 to 2 years behind current releases due to my long queue of other games. And, fwiw, PoE 1 was only kind of "meh" for me anyway so no big rush on this one.

I believe they've made it so spell effects turn transparent when you pause in this one, so you can actually see what's going on.

Man I tried to get into the game several times, but it just bored me to death. All of the party members are caricatures instead of feeling like real people. Glad people here liked it enough for a 2nd game though. Just because "I" didn't like doesn't mean it wasn't a good game
