S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - Announced Early For Publisher Interest

Gamingbolt reports that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was announced early to try and get publisher interest.

According to Epic Games’s director of publishing Sergey Galyonkin, the game is currently only in the design doc phase- so it hasn’t even properly begun development. The only reason it was announced as early as it was was to generate some publisher interest for it this E3. Which makes sense- but which is likely to make the wait for the fans brutal and unrelenting. Just as Square Enix fans how they feel about games tat take years to come out because they were announced before they properly began development.

Folks, finally! Its now 2028, we have a brand new international space station with the crazy big veggie project AAAND S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 might possibly come out this year after changing publishers and dev-teams for the third time!!!

Did we ever hear any more to confirm or deny those early rumors? It all sounded a bit weird, to me.

In Hollywood, simply having an idea for a movie counts as pre-production.

ETA: I'd love to see a STALKER 2.

Well rumor has it the game will be an MMO. So not interested at this point.

Yes may be a fake the keyword but until I see details we shall see.

I also shared a link in that thread about the fraudulent MMO made by a few ex-developers of Stalker. There was also another funded MMO from a few ex-employees.

Also most of these type of games are now online server based nowadays.
